In January 2019 the Clerk and Recorder offices were combined. The Clerk Recorder's office works with all county departments, elected officials and various outside entities to ensure responsible county government. The office is pledged to provide the citizens and visitors alike with efficient and professional service. Please note, we do not give legal advice.
Being a dual office, the Clerk Recorder has numerous responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Serves as Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners and other boards
Election Procedures
Issues Fictitious Firm Names
Issues Marriage Licenses
Accepts Passport Applications
Performs Oaths of Office
Responds to Public Records Requests
Recorders Official Documents
Serves as Clerk for the Seventh Judicial District Court
Voter Registration
